Intelligent User

is a brand of Three Vee, a company dedicated to providing coaching, consulting, and courses for life-long learners.

We believe artificial intelligence is nothing short of revolutionary. We also believe that any tool applied without wisdom, discretion, and critical thought can do us more harm than good. Intelligent User aims to provide a space for different voices to come together, learn about the diverse modes of AI, and be equipped and empowered to make thoughtful choices about the future of AI in our daily lives and our world.

We designed Intelligent User in early 2026 in response to the growing proliferation of AI tools and the pressing need to articulate personal and professional approaches for the careful, sustainable integration of these powerful tools.

As we spoke with friends and colleagues and began hosting one-off workshops on AI, our vision for Intelligent User crystalized. Beyond the hype cycles and scare tactics so common in AI rhetoric, we are hungry for actual understanding and appropriate application of new technologies that might free us up to be even more human.

The first thing we did when we decided
to build this course was lay out

Our core principles:

  1. 01

    Learning happens together.

We need the expertise and experience of others to understand the world more fully. We believe we are allalways learning. We subscribe to scholars Jean Lave and Étienne Wenger's theory of learning by practicing knowledge in relevant contexts and communities.1 For us, this manifests in our commitments to live instruction as a part of every experience we offer and to cohort-based learning.

  2. 02

    People are our heart.

We ground our work in human-centered design (HCD), a problem-solving process where challenges are discovered by talking with the real people who experience them, then solutions are designed and implemented in partnership with those same folks. This empathy-based approach puts people (not a dashboard of metrics, not an amalgam of shareholders) at the heart of everything we do. It also reminds us that machine learning is different from human learning, that humans are surprising and unique, and that every human being is inherently valuable.

  3. 03

    Amplify what makes us human.

We know this is a hot take in the age of AI. We believe that while technological innovation can present a shadow side of tumult and consequence, it also shines with opportunities to further cultivate and more highly honor what makes us human. We hunger for tangible humanity in art and design, especially visual art, music, and writing. Artists have and will always have a vital role in society and our economy. When you see art from Intelligent User, you can be confident that it was created by a real person who was compensated and that all relevant copyrights have been respected.

  4. 04

Design with people, not just for them.

“Nothing about us without us” is a slogan we echo from author and activist James Charlton and in his eponymous book.2 We believe no policy or decision should be made without participation of those affected by it. Design and business both benefit from a kaleidoscopic diversity of perspectives.

  5. 05

    The medium matters.

Our mothers taught us that how you say something is just as important as what you say. Media theorist Marshall McLuhan was essentially agreeing with them when he said, “The medium is the message.”3 Some conversations are better in person; some meetings should have been emails. We work hard to communicate our content in its most complementary context, from short videos to in-person workshops.

  6. 06

    Sustainability is the only option.

We love Earth. We think it is the number one planet for humans. Ensuring a future for this lovely place we live requires us all to consider our existence within the ecological web of the whole wide world. Resource equity, renewability, and accessibility are not optional qualities; they are essential for our surviving and thriving. AI, like all technological innovations before and after it, requires real resources and must be used wisely to promote collective sustainability, not threaten it. This is why we teach the ethical, environmental, and political realities of AI alongside its practical capabilities.

Intelligent User

OUR NAME

Our name stems from intelligent user interface (IUI), the term referring to the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) into human-computer interaction (HCI), that enables systems to dynamically adapt, learn, and anticipate user needs. We believe that you—the human—are the ultimate intelligent user.
